Honoring our Roots
While we are excited to begin a new chapter by launching Rutsu, we are also committed to honoring our roots — the steady base that anchors us to the Earth. This sense of honor takes both a tangible form in our care for the environment and the rich history that brought Rutsu into being. We love the image of roots extending far beyond what we can see but always granting us stability and confidence. The clients of each of the three founding companies are our greatest gift and we honor and respect what every client has contributed, some for over 30 years to these amazing companies.

Every day, we pay homage to the founders and the clients of the three companies that helped us embark on our remarkable journey: • Preventive Tree Spraying - Tom Estes • Prima Plant Care - Kim Bock • Mesa Turf Masters - John Quast These companies hold a cherished place in our hearts. As trusted names within the community, they form the basis of the new unified company known as Rutsu.
“By bringing these separate entities together, we hope to build on the previous success of these organizations, much as a tree grows from its roots to include a powerful trunk, intricate branches, and beautiful leaves.
These elements may be the most visible, but they would not exist without the sturdy, reliable grounding provided by the roots.
By using this powerful metaphor for our company’s new name, we hope to constantly remind ourselves of the traditions that have allowed us to become the force for good that we pride ourselves on being today.
We also hope that our clients will be inspired by this metaphor,
which encourages all community members to be engaged with nature and join us in being stewards of the trees, the land, the turf and the soil.”
